Why there will never be peace in the “Holy” land

The problem is simple and the solution is obvious, but there will never be peace.

There have always been Jewish people living in Palestine. The problem has never been the existence of Jewish inhabitants, the problem has always been the way they choose to live. They don’t want to live in peace with their Arab brethren, they want to live in peace with their Arab subjects.

This is not a minor issue, it’s the single most important issue that causes an otherwise compassionate people to support inhumane policies and practices. Israelis want a homeland in which they are the dominant race and they don’t care who they have to kill or oppress to get it. Israeli apologists refuse to acknowledge reality, that Israel is a racist country built and based on the destruction of another nation — not a sovereign nation state, but a nation of people nonetheless.

In most wars, the governments hate each other and abuse their powers to compel otherwise peaceful people to war. In most wars, the elite benefit from the spoils and common folk can only hope to return home intact. But in this especially unusual situation, the government of Israel was so effective in its propaganda campaign that some ignorant people actually believe their lies. They actually believe that Israel has a right to engage in any action required to preserve racial domination over conquered land. Israel has a right to defend herself, and Palestine doesn’t? Nobody can possibly expect Palestinians to ever accept an official second class citizen designation. Peace is not the absence of violence, it’s the presence of justice.

The solution to this problem is obvious, but Israel actively undermines every effort to find compromise. Arabs have already accepted Israel and offered peace many times, the problem is in Tel Aviv. As long as Israel is unwilling to return the occupied territories without pockets of Israeli sovereignty or unwilling to accept minority status in a single state, there will be no peace in Israel until there is no Palestine, and there will be no peace in Palestine until there is no Israel.
